Job summary

JAS Worldwide is seeking an Export Specialist to facilitate the movement of products via ocean and air freight in compliance with laws and company policies. You will handle bookings, rates, document production, invoicing, and customer interaction across territories.

You will coordinate documentation, track shipments, communicate with overseas agents, and support other departments to ensure accurate data and timely, lawful export activities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate the necessary documentation for export activities.
• Coordinate cargo pickup/transfer and monitor status.
• Communicate with export authorities, customers and suppliers across territories and countries.
• Obtain spot rates when necessary.
• Communicate with overseas agents and clients regarding rate requests and shipment status.
• Track shipments and update customers/agents of status.
• Create and maintain customer files.
• Create customer invoices and approve payables.
• Audit files to ensure accuracy and completion.
• Ensure accurate data entry and document upload into the system.
• Assist other departments as needed, or when requested by department or branch manager.
• Other duties as assigned.
