Job summary

JAS Worldwide is seeking an Ocean Export Specialist to facilitate outbound shipments by ocean, ensuring compliance with policies and laws. You will handle bookings, rate requests, document production, and communication with customers and agents to resolve issues and ensure timely shipments.

The role requires 3–5 years of ocean export experience and familiarity with the freight forwarding industry. Prior exposure to CargoWise (C1) is a plus, and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience handling ocean export shipments.
• Experience in the freight forwarding industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of CargoWise (C1) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate documentation for ocean export activities.
• Coordinate cargo pickup and monitor status.
• Communicate with export authorities, customers, and suppliers across territories.
• Manage and update carrier/vendor rates; obtain spot rates as needed.
• Correspond with overseas agents and clients regarding shipments and status.
• Track shipments and update customers/agents on status.
