Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Senior Director, Global Engineering to lead global capital programs, site engineering, and digital transformation across a network of manufacturing sites. You will own strategy, governance, and execution for complex projects up to $150M, driving OEE, reliability, and scalable operations.

The role requires enterprise thinking, broad influence, and significant autonomy. Remote work with 25% travel across global sites, reporting to the VP/PMO Operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations.
• 15+ years in progressive engineering and operations leadership.
• Global engineering leadership and capital portfolio experience.
• Experience with PSM/regulatory compliance and GMP/ISO contexts.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a global engineering strategy aligned with growth and sustainability.
• Govern a capital portfolio up to $150M and lead major plant expansions.
• Drive digital transformation, IT/OT integration, and Industry 4.0 adoption.
• Improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across multiple sites.
• Provide technical leadership in process engineering and manufacturing systems.
• Ensure EHS/PSM compliance in all capital projects.
• Lead talent development and multi-site leadership across regions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, quality, and finance.
