Job summary

AV is seeking an International Contracts Manager to oversee complex defense contracts with a focus on Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) globally. You will partner with legal, finance, procurement, engineering, operations and business development to streamline workflows and mitigate risks.

The role develops and manages bid, capture and negotiation processes for international opportunities, ensuring compliance and effective performance throughout the contract lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 6–8 years in aerospace/defense or government contracting.
• Expertise in Federal and International regulations.
• Experience in International (DCS/FMS) contract administration/management.
• Strong business acumen and problem solving.
• Ability to translate business and technical risk to leadership.
• Proven contract drafting and negotiation skills.
• ITAR/EAR knowledge and government contract exposure.
• Experience with multiple contract types: FFP, cost-type, etc.
• Experience with licenses, NDAs and teaming agreements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Operations, Legal, Finance, and Business Development on bids and proposals.
• Lead contract negotiations, reviews, and administration for products/services.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage various agreements (Sales/PA, Subcontracts, Licenses).
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Monitor long-term contract performance and risk, prepare summaries for stakeholders.
• Coordinate term-flow-downs with programs, engineering, finance, and quality.
• May lead internal and external audits and maintain contract files.
• Ensure data accuracy in contract-related systems and reports.
• Support status reviews and contract-related reporting.
