Job summary

AeroVironment seeks an International Contracts Manager to lead complex international contracting for Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) across multiple business units. The role requires deep knowledge of contract management, regulations, and risk mitigation in defense projects, with cross-functional collaboration across legal, finance, procurement, engineering, operations and business development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Minimum of 6-8 years' experience in aerospace/defense or government contracting environment with significant international contracting experience.
• Current expertise in Federal and International regulations and relevant legal concepts.

Responsibilities

• Work with Operations, Contracts, Business Development, Strategy and Marketing, Finance and Legal on bid/proposal preparation, contract negotiation and administration for new and sustaining products and services.
• Perform contract management and administrative duties throughout the contract lifecycle including proposal review, pre/post award negotiations, modifications, close-outs and program support.
• Draft, evaluate and negotiate Sales/Purchase Agreements, Subcontracts, Consulting, License and Master Agreements.
• Ensure that agreements/terms comply with all applicable regulations and company policies.
• Monitor performance of long-term contracts, analyze obligations and performance for internal stakeholders, and assess impact of modifications.
