Job summary

AeroVironment is seeking a Contracts Manager - International to lead international contract management for Direct Commercial Sales across multiple business units. You will work with legal, finance, procurement, engineering, operations, and business development to streamline workflows, manage risks, and ensure successful execution of agreements that support AV’s global goals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business/related field required.
6-8 years in aerospace/defense or government contracting environment, international focus.
Expertise in Federal and International regulations and legal concepts.
Significant international contract administration/management experience (DCS/FMS).
Entrepreneurial mindset; capable in dynamic, technical setting.
Strong business acumen with problem-solving and risk communication.
Ability to translate business risk to leadership.
Proven contract drafting and negotiation skills with complex negotiations.
Knowledge of ITAR/EAR and US Government contracting laws.
Experience with varied contract types including firm fixed price and cost-type.
Experience with license, NDA and teaming agreements.
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; able to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Operations, Contracts, Business Development, Strategy, Marketing, Finance, and Legal on bid/proposal prep, negotiations, and contract admin for products/services.
Manage lifecycle activities including proposal reviews, pre/post award negotiations, and contract modifications.
Draft and negotiate Sales/Purchase, Subcontracts, Consulting, License, Master agreements, and other contracts.
Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
Monitor performance of long-term contracts; summarize obligations and risks for management.
Coordinate flow-downs of terms with all functions including PM, Eng, Finance, QA, and Supply Chain.
May lead internal and external audits.
Maintain accurate contract files and data in systems; support status reviews.
Other duties as assigned.
