Job summary

AV is seeking a Business Development Director to lead key growth activities across domestic and international markets. The role focuses on identifying opportunities, strengthening strategic relationships, shaping winning strategies, and driving proposal efforts to secure new business.

You will work with internal teams and external partners to achieve organizational goals, strengthen market positioning, ensure compliance with applicable regulations, and provide mentorship to junior staff.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive BD experience in defense or related robotics.
• Experience developing proposals and securing DoD/USSOCOM contracts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin or Engineering with ROV/AV experience.
• Strong understanding of USG acquisition, budgeting, and program planning.
• Experience with CRM tools like Salesforce or HubSpot.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities in US and international markets.
• Build strategic relationships with customers at all levels.
• Lead full BD and proposal lifecycle with win strategies.
• Conduct market research to size opportunities and fit.
• Collaborate with Finance on budgets for proposals.
• Travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
• Mentor junior BD staff and support talent recruitment.
