Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. seeks a Data Center Operations Manager to lead a diverse team responsible for cloud infrastructure across multiple data centers. You will mentor staff, sponsor projects, and drive technical solutions while overseeing hardware and network diagnostics and an on-call rotation.

The role requires travel between facilities, strong leadership, and a focus on safety, security, and cost efficiency to keep the cloud running for customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years IT experience or a Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support in data center facilities or similar.
• Willingness to travel between data center locations as needed.
• Relevant certifications in networking/hardware are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage performance of diverse data center operation teams across locations.
• Develop career paths and update internal tools for staff.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels.
• Oversee day-to-day data center operations, 24/7 shifts, and logistics.
• Lead major outages and act as the call leader when needed.
