Job summary

Amazon is seeking a technology manager to lead data center operations, overseeing a diverse team across multiple locations and driving initiatives in hardware, network diagnostics, and on-call coverage. The role emphasizes developing career paths and mentoring staff while delivering high availability for global infrastructure.

You will recruit and train data technicians, manage day-to-day operations, and spearhead improvements in process, automation, and KPIs to meet stringent SLAs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years IT experience or a related degree.
• 2+ years of people management experience.
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities or production environments.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage the performance of diverse data center operation teams across locations.
• Develop career paths for employees and update internal tools.
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure staffing levels.
• Oversee day-to-day data center operations including queue management and shift planning.
• Act as subject matter expert across data center operations.
• Ensure operational KPIs and metrics are met.
• Lead large-scale outage response and drive process improvements.
