Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Data Center Manager to lead a high‑performing team responsible for the global data center operations that power AWS.

You will drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and collaborate with internal and vendor partners to meet aggressive growth and reliability goals. The role requires managing diverse teams across multiple locations, delivering on KPIs, and guiding automation initiatives while maintaining safety and efficiency in critical

Qualifications

• 4+ years IT experience or higher
• 2+ years of people management experience
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission critical plants, or production facilities

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators
• Manage the performance of a diverse team of data center operation professionals across locations
• Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels
• Ensure day-to-day data center operations including queue management, 7/24 shift arrangements and hardware logistics
• Manage Large Scale Events (outages) and act as the call leader
• Maintain on-call schedules and travel to active sites as required
