Job summary

Amazon in Oregon seeks a technology manager to lead a team that maintains cloud infrastructure for global data center operations. You will mentor staff at all levels, sponsor projects, and propose technical solutions while directing hardware and network diagnostics and participating in an on-call rotation.

This role requires 4+ years IT experience, 2+ years of people management, and the ability to travel between data center sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years IT experience or a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or an equivalent field.
• 2+ years of operations and on-call support for data center facilities, mission-critical plants, or production facilities.
• 2+ years of people-management experience.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize and assign trouble tickets to data center technicians and operators.
• Manage the performance of a diverse team of data center operation professionals across locations.
• Develop career paths for employees and update them in internal tools.
