Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Capacity Deployment Lead for the Data Center Operations team. The role focuses on deploying compute capacity across partner-operated data centers, from kickoff to ready-for-service, with on-site and hands-on participation at each stage.

You will lead with vendors, drive standards, and deliver reproducible outcomes across sites. The position requires 8+ years in data center operations or hardware deployment, strong server/network depth, and proven vendor management.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data center operations or hardware deployment with leadership responsibility.
• Hands-on depth in server, network, and rack hardware to verify deployment quality.
• Experience managing vendors, OEMs or contract workforces to measurable outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment outcomes for assigned sites and data-hall waves to meet ready-for-service dates.
• Engage from construction kickoff and confirm deployment readiness before each wave.
• Be on site at key points and verify work with direct expertise, not dashboards.
• Coordinate with site leadership for rack delivery, QA, power-on and network turn-up.
• Validate handover gates with documentation, spares, and live ticketing.
• Turn best practices into program-wide improvements and guardrails.
• Extend deployment programs to new sites and platforms with updated criteria.
