Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a site leader for Data Center Operations to own site outcomes, drive deployment velocity, and manage vendor performance across partner-operated sites. You will define standards, ensure availability, and oversee incident response while coordinating with engineering requirements.

The role demands deep infrastructure expertise, proven vendor governance, and the ability to lead cross‑functional teams during incidents and deployments at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of data center operations experience at a managerial or leadership level.
• Experience managing vendors/MSPs/contract workforces with measurable outcomes (SOWs, SLAs).
• Hands-on depth in server, network, and rack infrastructure to audit and verify vendor claims.
• Built or improved operational processes beyond just running them.
• Experience in incident command or lead-responder roles with clear communication under pressure.
• Ability to support non-standard hours, on-call rotations, and deployment surges.

Responsibilities

• Own site availability, deployment milestones, and repair turnaround with data-backed verification.
• Set vendor direction, drive cadence, and lead standups and reviews.
• Define deployment, break-fix, change management, security, and EHS procedures; standardize lessons across the program.
• Track vendor performance against SLAs and staffing commitments; implement corrective actions.
• Lead incident escalation on-call rotations and direct vendor response as Incident Commander.
