Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Capacity Deployment Lead to manage and scale deployment of compute capacity across partner-operated data centers. You will lead from kickoff through ready-for-service, working with vendors, on-site teams, and partners to meet milestones and quality gates.

The role requires hands-on site presence, strict adherence to procedures, and ability to drive program-wide improvements across multiple sites with significant travel and cross-functional coordination.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data center operations or hardware deployment as a manager, technical lead or related role.
• Proven track record leading compute or network hardware deployments at large scale across multiple sites or data-hall waves.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment outcomes for assigned sites and data-hall waves, ensuring ready-for-service dates are met and risks are addressed.
• Engage from construction kickoff and confirm deployment readiness ahead of each wave, coordinating floor access, power, network, receiving paths and staffing.
• Be on site at key points before and during delivery, deployment, QA and close-out and support on-site teams with expert guidance.
• Coordinate with partner site leadership to ensure success through rack delivery, receiving, integration QA, power-on and network turn-up, burn-in and validation.
• Validate handover gates for each CU and data hall: acceptance criteria met, documentation delivered, spares positioned, tickets live, and transition into production and maintenance.
• Translate deployment best practices into program-wide improvements: procedures, checklists, acceptance standards and metrics.
• Extend deployment program to new sites, adapting standards and criteria as hardware evolves.
• Communicate deployment status, dependencies, constraints, and risk to engineering, capacity planning and leadership.
