Job summary

A.P. Moller - Maersk is hiring an CHB Operations Associate to own daily customs brokerage for a dedicated portfolio. You will serve as the main customer contact, manage U.S. entry filings, and coordinate clearance with freight forwarders to ensure timely release and accurate documentation.

The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, attention to detail, and proactive communication with customers and internal teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience.
• At least 2 years in a CHB or operational support environment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-focused mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
• Customs House Broker License preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily customs brokerage operations for assigned customers.
• Serve as a trusted contact for customers with timely shipment updates.
• Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and PGA filings ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Open and manage entry files aligning with KPIs and service standards.
• Coordinate clearance with forwarders, lines, airlines, and CFS for timely release.
• Track inbound shipments from port/airport to final delivery.
• Ensure documentation and entry packages are uploaded in systems.
• Complete customer billing, delivery orders, and operational reports.
• Maintain and update customer SOPs as needed.
• Collaborate with teammates and cross-functional partners for coverage.
