Job summary

Maersk in the United States seeks an CHB Operations Associate to coordinate shipments from start to finish, ensuring client service levels are met daily. You will support a group of client accounts by expediting shipments and developing familiarity with import programs and products.

You will own CHB operations for assigned customers, process customs entries, coordinate with forwarders and carriers, handle billing and tracking, and maintain SOPs to improve efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience with client accounts.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Attention to detail and ability to multi-task under pressure.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to assigned customers and assist with questions and requests for information.
• Process Customs entries and PGA for clearance of goods, ensuring compliance.
• Open entry files and process entries according to KPI.
• Coordinate clearance of shipments with forwarders, steamship lines, and airlines to ensure shipments are released timely.
• Complete customer billing and/or other required reports.
• Complete tracking and tracing for inbound shipments.
• Coordinate Operations for shipments from airline, ocean piers and CFS to customer/consignee destination.
• Ensure that the required documentation/entry package is uploaded into the operating system.
• Maintain customer SOPs and updates as needed.
