Job summary

Maersk is seeking an CHB Operations Associate in the United States to coordinate and execute shipments, supporting a small group of client accounts from start to finish. You2;ll expediting shipments, developing familiarity with import programs, and coordinating file processing with team members.

Key responsibilities include handling customer inquiries, processing customs entries, coordinating with forwarders, and maintaining documentation and SOPs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of CHB experience required.
• 612 months experience in the industry.
• CargoWise experience highly desired.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work under pressure.
• Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
• Customs House Brokerage license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to assigned customers and assist with questions and requests for information.
• Process Customs entries and PGA for clearance of goods, ensuring full compliance with regulations.
• Open entry files and process entries according to KPI.
• Coordinate clearance of shipments with forwarders, steamship lines, and airlines for timely release.
• Complete customer billing and required reports.
• Complete tracking and tracing for inbound shipments.
• Coordinate operations for shipments from airline and ocean piers to destination.
• Ensure required documentation is uploaded into the operating system.
• Maintain customer SOPs and update as needed.
