Job summary

Maersk is hiring a CHB Operations Associate in the United States to own end‑to‑end customs brokerage operations for a dedicated portfolio of accounts. You will collaborate with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure compliant, on‑time imports and strong customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes detail‑oriented work, process improvement, and cross‑functional teamwork to support coverage, training, and peak volumes.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
• Customs House Broker License preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Own daily customs brokerage operations for assigned customers.
• Respond to customer questions and provide timely shipment updates.
• Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and PGA filings for regulatory compliance.
• Open and manage entry files in line with KPIs and service standards.
• Coordinate clearance with freight forwarders, lines, and CFS to ensure timely release.
