Job summary

Maersk is seeking a CHB Operations Associate in the United States to manage end-to-end customs brokerage for a dedicated portfolio of accounts. You will collaborate with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams to ensure compliant, timely imports.

The role emphasizes detail orientation, organized handling of documentation, and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of experience in customs brokerage, logistics, or a related operational role (2+ years preferred in CHB or similar environments).
• Solid understanding of import processes, documentation, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience; Customs Broker License is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for assigned customers, providing updates and resolving inquiries.
• Prepare and submit U.S. Customs entries and PGA filings per regulations.
• Manage entry files to meet KPIs, service standards, and documentation requirements.
• Coordinate shipment clearance with forwarders, carriers, airlines, and CFS facilities.
• Track inbound shipments from arrival to delivery, addressing delays or risks.
• Maintain documentation and upload entry packages into internal systems.
• Support billing, delivery orders, and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coverage during peak volumes.
