Job summary

HIMSS, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc., is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee global accounting operations, ensure accurate monthly closes, and strengthen internal controls. This role partners with CFO and external auditors, guiding GAAP-compliant reporting for HIMSS and related entities.

Based in Kentucky with hybrid work flexibility, you will mentor the accounting team, manage NetSuite/Concur/ADP implementations, and drive process improvements to support

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MS or MBA preferred.
• CPA preferred with 10+ years experience in industry or public accounting.
• Experience overseeing remote teams and international operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct month, quarter, and year-end close and ensure reconciled financials.
• Develop and enforce accounting policies and internal controls.
• Coordinate audits and tax filings; manage external auditors.
• Lead system enhancements and liaise with NetSuite/Concur/ADP.
• Provide leadership to CFO/CEO on GAAP reporting and disclosures.
