Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. (HIMSS) is seeking an experienced accounting leader to direct the Accounting Department, ensuring accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closes, internal controls, and financial reporting for HIMSS and related entities.

You will guide policy development, manage AR/AP/payroll/tax processes, and coordinate with external auditors. NetSuite/Concur/ADP experience is preferred in a collaborative, hybrid-work environment.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MS or MBA preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• A minimum of ten (10) years (full-time) experience in industry or public accounting, including experience managing remote teams and with international operations.
• Exceptional accounting and analytical skills; deadline-focused; professional standard of ethics.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop accounting professionals.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills; able to create initiatives and manage outcomes.
• Demonstrable experience utilizing technology to meet financial close goals; NetSuite experience highly preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Direct the activities of the Accounting Department to complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closes with reconciled information for internal and external statements.
• Develop and enforce financial policies to safeguard assets.
• Oversee accounts receivable aging, billing, cash application, and merchant accounting.
• Oversee accounts payable, payroll processing, and tax compliance.
• Coordinate accounting for HIMSS international offices and currency/foreign tax compliance (VAT).
• Lead financial system enhancements with third-party providers and consultants (NetSuite/Concur/ADP).
• Plan and direct audit work papers and reconciliations; provide QA review of financial statements.
