Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. seeks a Head of Corporate Accounting to lead its global Corporate Accounting function.

Reporting to the Global Controller, you will own the general ledger, cost, and international accounting and consolidation, building a high-performing team to scale processes and controls for Scale's growth. You will own the close process, supervise treasury operations, and partner across Finance and Tax to implement new guidance.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience across public accounting and corporate accounting leadership roles.
• CPA license required.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Strong experience with NetSuite.
• Deep experience with multi-entity international subsidiaries, intercompany accounting, and global consolidation.
• Expert knowledge of U.S. GAAP and full-cycle month-end close processes.
• 5+ years of people leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities within deadlines.
• Proven track record of leading process improvement projects end to end with measurable results.

Responsibilities

• Own the close: Lead the month-end close across all entities, ensuring timely and accurate financial results in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Lead the Corporate Accounting team: Manage GL, Cost, Revenue, and International Accounting leads and their teams, setting clear priorities and building a culture of ownership.
• Treasury operations: Manage day-to-day treasury operations, including cash positioning, bank relationships, and intercompany funding.
• Policies and controls: Own internal policies related to corporate accounting and maintain an effective controls environment.
• General ledger: Oversee journal entries, reconciliations, and ledger integrity.
• Drive process improvement: Lead automation initiatives using NetSuite and AI-enabled close tools to de-risk and accelerate close.
• Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate with Technical Accounting, Finance, and Tax to implement new guidance.
• External audit: Serve as key contact for auditors and deliverables.
