Job summary

Scale AI seeks a Senior Accountant to support day-to-day corporate accounting, month-end close, and scalable process improvements as the company grows and expands internationally.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of accounting experience, a strong U.S. GAAP background, and excellent Excel skills, with CPA preferred. This role involves collaboration across Accounting and Finance teams and exposure to audits and new systems implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• 3+ years of accounting experience; public accounting and industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and month-end close processes.
• Experience with general ledger functions and audit preparation is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and day-to-day corporate accounting activities and support month-end close.
• Build and review balance sheet reconciliations and clean historical balances.
• Collaborate on metrics, forecasts, and monthly reporting package preparation.
• Prepare documents for internal and external audits and ensure successful completion of audits.
• Support implementation of new systems, tools, and processes to scale close and support growth.
• Identify and drive process improvements to shorten close timelines and strengthen controls.
• Develop, maintain and improve internal controls related to assigned areas.
