Job summary

Scale AI is seeking a highly motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing accounting team, supporting day-to-day corporate accounting, the month-end close process, and the implementation of scalable systems. The role involves collaboration with international entities as Scale expands globally while maintaining strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, a solid knowledge of US GAAP, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or in progress preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant accounting experience; combination of public accounting and industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with general ledger functions and the month end close process.
• Experience with financial audit preparation is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent writing, oral communication, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and day to day corporate accounting activities, support the month end close, and provide timely US GAAP financials.
• Build or enhance balance sheet reconciliations and conduct cleanup of historical balances.
• Collaborate with Accounting/Finance on metrics, forecasts, and monthly reporting package.
• Prepare documents for internal and external audits and ensure successful audits.
• Support implementation of new systems, tools, and processes to streamline close and scalability.
• Identify and drive process improvements to gain efficiencies and reduce close timeline.
• Develop, maintain and improve internal controls for assigned areas.
