Job summary

Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. invites an experienced accounting leader to direct the organization’s accounting operations, ensuring a complete and timely financial close.

You will establish policies, enforce internal controls, and deliver reconciled financial information for internal and external statements. You will manage AR/AP, payroll, currency translation for international entities, and coordinate with external auditors, while mentoring a team and guiding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; MS or MBA preferred.
• CPA preferred.
• Ten years of full-time accounting experience, including leading remote teams and international operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for HIMSS and related entities.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and tax compliance with direct oversight by the Assistant Controller.
• Manage fixed asset reporting and asset inventory processes.
• Provide guidance on accounting policies and GAAP applications to senior management.
• Plan audits and coordinate external auditors to ensure timely filings.
