Job summary

Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, Inc. is seeking a senior accounting leader to oversee the organization’s accounting operations and deliver timely, reconciled financial statements.

You will guide policies, controls, and the annual audit, while directing a team across AR, AP, payroll, and tax compliance. The role requires strong leadership, GAAP knowledge, and experience managing remote teams in international contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• MS or MBA is preferred.
• CPA designation is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in industry or public accounting, with experience managing remote teams and international operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Accounting Department's monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with reconciled financial information.
• Develop and enforce financial policies to safeguard assets.
• Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and tax compliance.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audits and tax filings.
