Job summary

Fivetran in a remote-friendly role leads the dbt community team, focusing on managing and growing the dbt Slack community to empower data practitioners worldwide.

You'll partner with internal teams, shape engagement programs, and build scalable moderation workflows, while surfacing insights to product and marketing. This role requires a track record of running large online communities and strong written communication.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital community management or related field.
• Experience owning day-to-day operations for large online communities.
• Ability to drive engagement and maintain community health at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community worldwide.
• Partner with leaders and internal teams to evolve strategy and guidelines.
• Develop scalable moderation and support workflows including Code of Conduct.
• Coach moderators and onboard new moderators as the community grows.
• Create content systems to inform and activate members (announcements, prompts).
• Surface insights to Product, Marketing, and Support and close the loop.
• Monitor engagement metrics and run experiments to improve them.
• Manage the community tool stack and document best practices.
• Plan for incident response with Legal/People/Security as needed.
• Support cross-channel engagement beyond Slack for a cohesive journey.
