Job summary

Maersk in Florham Park, NJ seeks a CHB Operations Associate to coordinate and execute shipments and ensure client service levels daily. You will support a small group of accounts by expediting shipments and learning their import programs, coordinating with teams and carriers.

The role covers customs entries, KPI-driven processing, billing, tracking, and delivery coordination. Bachelor’s degree is preferred; CHB experience and strong communication are valued.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required, or equivalent work experience.
• Customs House Brokerage License preferred but not required.
• Minimum 1 year of CHB experience.
• 6–12 months of experience in the customs industry.

Responsibilities

• Own CHB operations services for the customers assigned to them.
• Provide customer service to assigned customers and assist with questions and requests for information.
• Process Customs entries and PGA for clearance of goods.
• Open entry files and process entries according to KPI.
• Coordinate clearance of shipments with forwarders, Steamship Lines, Airlines.
• Complete customer billing and/or other required reports.
• Complete tracking and tracing for inbound shipments.
• Coordinate delivery for shipments from airline, ocean piers and CFS to destination.
• Upload required documentation into operating system.
• Maintain customer SOPs and updates as needed.
