Job summary

Maersk in Florham Park, NJ is seeking a CHB Operations Associate to manage end‑to‑end customs brokerage for a dedicated portfolio of accounts. You will collaborate with customers, carriers, and government agencies to ensure compliance, accuracy, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of customs brokerage or related industry experience.
• At least 2 years in a CHB or operational support environment preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to work under pressure.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Team‑focused mindset with ownership and accountability.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience).
• Customs House Broker License preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of daily customs brokerage operations for assigned customers.
• Serve as a trusted contact for customers; provide timely shipment updates.
• Prepare and process U.S. Customs entries and PGA filings in compliance.
• Open and manage entry files aligned with KPIs and service standards.
• Coordinate clearance with forwarders, carriers, and CFS for timely release.
• Track inbound shipments from port/airport to final delivery.
• Upload all documentation into operating systems and complete billing / reports.
• Maintain and update customer SOPs; support coverage and cross‑training.
