Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Project Manager for its Capital Execution team. This role is remote within the US and reports to the Senior Manager – Capital Projects.

You will lead capital projects from FEL through Start-Up, coordinating with global teams to ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery. Responsibilities include front-end loading, cost control, and contractor oversight across multiple projects, with travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 5 years managing capital projects.
• Minimum 3 years in a chemical plant environment.
• Minimum 2 years field construction or contract management.
• Experience managing capital projects $1M–$20M.
• Ability to travel ~40%.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead by influence.
• Strong team-building skills.
• Experience with engineering/design contractors.
• Experience using project scheduling software.
• Smart engineering/design tools knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Identify project team resources and secure staffing.
• Ensure team members understand roles and deliverables.
• Establish effective communications with stakeholders.
• Lead front-end loading, including scopes, estimates, funding, and schedule.
• Proactively drive project scope, cost, schedule and resources.
• Identify deliverables and ensure timely completion and quality.
• Manage changes in scope and budgets per Change policy.
• Drive project processes per Chemours Project System.
• Lead risk identification and mitigation sessions.
• Ensure design standards with internal and external resources.
