Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Project Manager to lead large and small capital projects globally. You will oversee design, procurement, construction, controls, estimation, document management and contractor oversight from FEL through Start-Up.

The role requires strong leadership, collaboration with global teams, and 5+ years of capital project management experience in a chemical environment. Travel about 40% is expected, with proximity to HQ optional.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline is required.
• Minimum 5 years managing capital projects.
• Minimum 3 years working with a chemical plant environment.
• Minimum 2 years of field construction or contract management.
• Minimum 5 years' experience managing capital projects in the $1M - $20M range.
• Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with engineering/design contractors and scheduling software.

Responsibilities

• Identify project team resources and coordinate with managers to secure staffing.
• Ensure team members understand roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
• Establish effective communications with the project team and stakeholders.
• Lead front-end loading: scopes of work, estimates, funding requests, schedules, and design basis.
• Drive project scope, cost, schedule and resources.
• Identify deliverables and ensure timely completion and quality.
• Manage changes within approved budgets per Change Management policy.
• Drive project processes and risk management throughout the project life cycle.
• Ensure design standards and agreements with internal/external design resources are followed.
