Job summary

Chemours is hiring a Project Manager to lead large and small capital projects worldwide, reporting to the Senior Manager – Capital Projects, with a focus on safety, quality, and innovation. This role offers opportunities to collaborate across global teams and sites.

The PM will oversee scopes from FEL through Start-Up, coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction, and project controls. Based in the US and flexible to locations near Chemours sites, travel up to 40% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years managing capital projects.
• Minimum 3 years working with a chemical plant environment.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with field construction or contract management.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in managing capital projects in the $1M - $20M
• Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to execute smaller, less complex projects with limited engagement of supporting resources.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead by influence.
• Strong team-building skills.
• Experience in working with engineering/design contractors.
• Experience using project scheduling software.
• Smart engineering/design tools knowledge.
• Fluent use of Microsoft Office software.
• Based within Central (CT) or Eastern (ET) time zones and able to commute to facilities.
• Ability to travel approximately 40% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Identify project team resources and secure staffing with resource managers.
• Ensure all team members understand roles, responsibilities and deliverables.
• Establish effective communications with the project team and stakeholders.
• Lead front-end loading: work scopes, estimates, funding requests and integrated schedule.
• Proactively drive project scope, cost, schedule and resources.
• Identify deliverables and ensure timely completion and quality.
• Manage scope changes and budgets per Change policy.
• Drive project processes per Chemours Project System.
• Lead risk identification/mitigation and problem-solving sessions.
• Ensure design standards with internal/external resources are followed.
