Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Capital Project Estimator to join our team. This hybrid role is preferred in Wilmington, DE, with consideration for other plant sites. You will develop estimates from conceptual through authorization stages, supporting multiple project teams and travel between facilities as needed.

The position emphasizes strategic and tactical delivery, cost library maintenance, and collaboration with risk and project teams to optimize costs and schedule.

Qualifications

• 7+ years estimating in petrochemical or heavy industrial contexts.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt plans quickly.
• Experience with Aspen Capital Cost Estimator and Aspen In Plant Cost estimator.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across levels within Chemours.
• Willingness to commute to Chemours facilities within Central/Eastern time zones.

Responsibilities

• Provide conceptual estimates for early investment options.
• Prepare all estimate types aligned with project progression.
• Ensure estimates meet quality requirements for each decision gate.
• Develop cost reduction concepts to improve project efficiency.
• Lead early estimate plans through project implementation.
• Maintain estimating systems and historical data libraries.
• Assist risk leads and discuss estimate impacts.
• Distribute benchmark data to gauge performance and drive improvement.
