Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Capital Project Estimator to join our team in a hybrid role. This position delivers, executes and manages capital and non-capital project estimates through the project life cycle, enabling competitive cost solutions and informing risk management.

The role supports multiple teams and travel to multiple locations as needed. Wilmington DE is preferred but other plant sites are considered, with proximity to Chemours sites emphasized for collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in petrochemical, heavy industrial or related industry.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or a technical field preferred.
• Experience with capital cost estimation software and cost databases.

Responsibilities

• Provides business-specific conceptual estimates in support of early investment options.
• Prepares all estimate types based on project progression.
• Ensures estimates meet industry quality requirements for each project gate step.
• Generate cost reduction concepts and improve work processes to boost efficiency.
• Lead execution of early estimate plans through project implementation.
• Maintains estimating system cost libraries and historical data.
• Compiles and distributes benchmark data to gauge estimate performance and competitiveness.
