Job summary

ABB is seeking a Global Application Specialist for the North American market to design, develop, and validate applications in critical power and building electrification. You will lead efforts to translate end-user demands into valuable solutions, leveraging ABB's resources to advance the data center and related markets.

You will collaborate with product management, digital teams, and customers, while contributing to standards and market trends.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
Familiarity with electrical distribution and critical power systems.
Knowledge of NEC codes and electrical design requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

Collect end-user demands in the US to develop new solutions and products.
Develop resources within ABB to execute the business plan and support customers with dedicated solutions.
Support test and validation of applications.
Help customers identify the best solutions for their projects.
Ensure the application configurator and customer journey are in place for the respective application.
Capture the customers’ voice through the Customer-In process.
Support digital marketing campaigns related to applications.
Monitor market trends and provide input to strategy and product management.
Provide feedback to Product Management and Digital on new development needs.
Participate in national/international standardization committees.
