Job summary

ABB is seeking an Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services (ELSE) to lead the U.S. AE organization in support of Commercial Operations and Sales teams.

You will drive customer-focused technical solutions, deliver high-quality Statements of Work and Job Cost Estimates, and build a high-performing team of Application Engineers to support growth objectives. The role requires travel up to 25% within the US and a strong background in proposal development, field/service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 12+ years relevant experience; Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% within US.
• 7+ years in application/field engineering in power delivery products and systems.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams preferred.
• Experience with proposal development, SOW creation, job costing, and commercial operations.
• Background in field service, power systems engineering, or industrial electrical services.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team by setting clear performance expectations and coaching.
• Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio including site assessments and resource prioritization.
• Drive proposal excellence and improve ITO processes by delivering high-quality SOWs and JCEs.
• Standardize and continuously improve engineering processes through KPI management, libraries, and training programs.
