Job summary

JAS Forwarding (USA), Inc. is seeking an Air Export Specialist to manage outbound air shipments, ensuring compliance with laws and internal policies. You will coordinate bookings, provide rates, generate documents, and resolve issues for exporting customers and agents.

In this role, you’ll build strong relationships with overseas partners, update status, and support other departments as needed. Experience in air exports and proficiency with Cargowise highly regarded.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years' experience handling Air Exports shipments or a combination of education and expertise required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of US export laws, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and coordinate the necessary documentation for air export activities.
• Coordinate cargo pickup and monitor status.
• Communicate with export-related authorities, customers and suppliers.
• Manage carrier/vendor rates and obtain spot rates when necessary.
• Track shipments and update customers and agents of status.
