Cogent Communications, a multinational ISP with a strong global footprint, seeks an in-office Sales professional in Minneapolis. The role targets new business across IP Transit and related segments, using consultative selling to win connectivity solutions.

You will develop opportunities, qualify prospects, and engage decision makers to drive revenue. A background in telecom sales and quota achievement is preferred, with full benefits and career growth potential.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of solid B2B sales in telecom, including collocation and data transit.
• Proven track record of hunting new business and meeting quotas.
• Strong written and verbal communication, research and prospecting skills.
• CRM and MS Office experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a prescribed sales territory and global market segments.
• Prospect via direct calling, email and outreach to Key Decision Makers.
• Supplement prospecting with onsite customer meetings as needed.
• Position services leveraging Cogent's global network footprint and facilities.
• Build relationships to win connectivity solutions for customers.
