Cogent Communications is seeking an experienced sales professional for an in-office role in Overland Park, KS. You will identify new business opportunities within a regional/global IP Transit and data connectivity market, qualifying leads and closing deals with Key Decision Makers.

You will leverage Cogent's extensive network footprint and carrier-neutral facilities, while meeting revenue quotas in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• 3-8+ years of B2B sales experience in telecom with collocation, wholesale experience and data transit/transport.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas in a direct hunting, B2B sales role.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify new business opportunities within a regional/global IP Transit market and target segments.
• Qualify and generate opportunities via direct calling, email, and meetings with Key Decision Makers.
• Position Cogent services leveraging the global network footprint across data centers and carrier-neutral facilities.
• Maintain and grow customer relationships to drive revenue and long-term partnerships.
