Job summary

Oak Street Health in Longview, TX is seeking a Primary Care Physician to deliver equitable, high-quality value-based care to local Medicare populations. You will practice at a neighborhood clinic supported by large care teams, focusing on outcomes, preventive medicine, and reduced hospital admissions.

The role welcomes new graduates and may offer advancement to a Center Medical Director position based on performance and needs.

Qualifications

  • MD/DO required for clinical practice.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; board eligible acceptable for consideration.
  • Active, unrestricted state medical license required.
  • Active DEA license required.
  • U.S. work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and diagnose patients at local clinics.
  • Oversee, direct, and administer primary care.
  • Prescribe and manage pharmaceutical treatments and medications.
  • Maintain Patient Electronic Medical Record data.
  • Collaborate with regional and central leadership to meet health quality goals.
  • Work with Practice Managers to direct and manage the center care team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Medical Doctor (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
Board Certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (or board eligible)
Active, non-probationary, unrestricted State License
Active DEA license
US work authorization
