Job summary

ArchWell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the primary care team and help coordinate patient care. You will greet patients, take vitals, document medical history, and assist the PCP with daily duties.

The role requires organization, empathy, and a focus on patient experience. Responsibilities include performing routine screenings, wound care under supervision, handling patient communications, and maintaining OSHA-compliant records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent healthcare training required.
• Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• 6+ months phlebotomy experience highly desired.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• Experience with EClinical Works or a similar EMR.
• Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake with patients, measuring and recording vital signs, medical history; perform examinations and routine screenings.
• Critically listen and engage with patients, reporting changes to PCP or specialists as needed.
• Process patient messages, return calls, and route inquiries to the right team members.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures; perform first aid under physician supervision.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and accurate documentation.
• Provide health coaching to defined patient groups with weekly follow-ups.
