Job summary

ArchWell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support PCPs in a primary care setting. You will greet and room members, take vital signs, and assist with routine diagnostics while ensuring a compassionate patient experience.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, care coordination, and health coaching for a defined patient group, including geriatric clients. Some travel for meetings may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable healthcare training.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• 6+ months phlebotomy experience desirable.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• EClinical Works or similar EMR experience.
• Experience with geriatric patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake with patients, record vital signs, medical history, and perform routine screenings.
• Engage with patients throughout appointments and report changes to PCP or specialists.
• Handle patient communications, return calls, and route messages to the team.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures, and perform first aid under physician supervision.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and maintain accurate documentation.
• Provide health coaching to defined patients with weekly follow-ups.
