Job summary

ArchWell Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support our primary care team and coordinate care for members. The MA will greet and room patients, assist with routine diagnostic testing, and provide health coaching to promote healthy lifestyles among seniors.

The Float may cover other centers as needed and assist in maintaining efficient patient flow. Responsibilities include vital signs, patient interviews, documentation, and ensuring OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program or comparable training.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• 6+ months phlebotomy experience is highly desired.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers is required.
• EClinical Works or similar EMR experience.
• Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake with patients, measure vital signs, document medical history and interview for each visit.
• Engage with patients throughout appointments and report changes to the PCP or specialists.
• Handle patient phone messages, return calls, and route information to the physician as needed.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures and perform first aid under physician supervision.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and complete accurate, legal clinical documentation.
• Provide health coaching to defined patients and follow up with weekly calls.
