Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Field Engineer to support engineers and technicians in the field, perform laboratory testing, and observe construction materials to ensure accurate data collection and reliable outcomes.

Ideal candidates are pursuing Civil or Geological Engineering, with 0-3 years of experience, and are ready to travel regionally. This role offers growth through on-site fieldwork and collaboration with clients to meet project needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• 0–3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and ability to achieve professional registration (PE) preferred.
• Internship or previous work experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field testing per QA procedures.
• Perform soil laboratory tests per QA procedures.
• Prepare field and lab reports for client files.
• Communicate with clients to determine project needs.
• Assist in training less experienced personnel.
• Maintain and improve the local materials testing lab.
