Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking Field Engineers who will support engineers with field and laboratory tasks, collect data, and help ensure accurate, reliable project outcomes. This role involves field testing, laboratory work, and reporting on-site and in the lab in various environments.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil or Geological Engineering degree with 0–3 years of experience; EIT and PE licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and ability to achieve professional registration (PE) preferred.
• Internship or previous work experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct geotechnical field testing according to QA procedures.
• Perform soil laboratory tests according to QA procedures.
• Prepare reports of field and laboratory work.
• Communicate with clients to determine their project needs.
• Assist in training of less experienced personnel in routine field work/documentation.
