Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a technically diversified Civil/Geotechnical Engineering Manager 1 to support our Power Generation Geotechnical Engineering Group in Richmond, VA.

The ideal candidate will develop client relationships, provide staff management, and apply civil and geotechnical expertise across multi-discipline projects. Responsibilities include leading business development, delivering scope on projects, mentoring the geotechnical team, and ensuring on-time, on-budget performance

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in civil/geotechnical engineering and management.
• PE licensure (Professional Engineer) required; reciprocity in multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Building relationships with Energy, Institutional, Industrial, and Manufacturing clients and internal clients within GAI's Business Sectors.
• Leading business development pursuits and developing statements of qualifications and proposed project scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and fees.
• Providing design, management, and technical direction in geotechnical components on multi-discipline projects.
• Leading teams to successfully execute all assigned projects.
• Mentoring geotechnical staff and coordinating with accounting to monitor costs and billings.
