Job summary

GAI Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Civil/Geotechnical Engineering Manager 1 to support our Power Generation Geotechnical Engineering Group in Richmond, VA.

The ideal candidate will develop client relationships, lead staff, and provide civil and geotechnical engineering expertise across diverse multi-discipline projects. The role involves project planning, design, and geotechnical services for Energy, Institutional, Industrial, and Manufacturing clients, with leadership in delivering projects

Qualifications

• B.S. or M.S. Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) License.
• 12+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Leading business development pursuits and developing statements of qualifications, scopes of work, schedules, budgets, and fees.
• Providing design, management, and technical direction for geotechnical components on multi-discipline projects.
• Supervises a staff of engineers and technicians.
• Delivers project scope, schedule, budget, quality, safety, and profitability; mentors geotechnical staff.
• Leads teams to successfully execute all assigned projects.
