Job summary

Illumina is seeking a strong Inside Sales Representative/Sales Development Representative to join its proteomics sales team. The role includes cold calls, appointment setting and email outreach, qualifying inbound leads, and supporting regionally with lead research and handoffs to field sales.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree with 2B2B virtual/inside sales experience, preferably in healthcare, and strong MS Word/Excel skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university is typically required.
B2B virtual/inside sales experience is strongly desired, preferably in healthcare/pharmaceutical sales.
MS Word and Excel proficiency is expected.

Responsibilities

Engage target accounts via email, calls and other tactics to promote Illumina proteomics products and services across the Americas region.
Respond to inquiries and follow up on Marketing qualified leads.
Support regional field sales reps with qualified lead identification and research; ensure smooth transition of leads to field sales.
Set appointments/meetings related to qualified leads for sales reps in assigned territories.
Nurture leads and opportunities not ready to purchase initially.
Track daily KPIs and plan activities to meet defined expectations.
Participate in team meetings and training as required.
Document all outreach activity in Salesforce.
