PowerSecure is seeking a Service Technician for Commercial Generators in Illinois. The role involves maintenance and repair of generator and power distribution equipment, plus technical support to customers on operational aspects.

Qualifications include 3–10 years field experience (Levels II–IV), high school diploma, and strong reading of schematics, with extensive knowledge of Woodward/Beckwith controls and PLC equipment. Will travel 85% on-site with 24x7 on-call duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; related military experience acceptable.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills on generator systems.
• Experience with engine and electrical controls in an outdoor setting.

Responsibilities

• Daily travel and independent work on customer sites.
• Provide on-call support and maintain equipment under contract.
• Install batteries and perform preventive maintenance.
• Interface with customers and communicate status to the office.
• Maintain paperwork and technical documentation accurately.
• Mentor junior technicians as needed.
