Job summary

Integrated Power Services, LLC. (IPS) is looking for a Generator Field Service Technician to service, repair, and maintain diesel and gas engine-driven standby generators in the field for residential, commercial, and industrial customers.

You will help keep clients powered and perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and troubleshooting as part of a dynamic service team. The role requires physical work, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, driving a company vehicle locally, and

Qualifications

• Technical schooling in generators or related power systems is preferred.
• Experience repairing or maintaining generators is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to read schematics, operating manuals, and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on diesel and gas standby generators.
• Repair and service generator systems and components.
• Inspect electrical and mechanical systems and document work.
• Communicate with customers and provide clear explanations of issues and resolutions.
• Travel locally in a company vehicle to customer sites.
